EICR Testing in Sutton, Surrey & South London

An EICR is required at least every 5 years, or sooner if the report itself recommends a shorter interval

A valid EICR must be in place before a new tenancy begins

Any remedial work identified as urgent must be carried out within 28 days

Every new tenant must receive a copy of the report before moving in, and existing tenants within 28 days of a new inspection

Non-compliance can result in a civil penalty of up to £30,000

We inspect and test the fixed electrical installation — consumer unit, wiring, sockets, switches, and earthing/bonding — checking for damage, wear, non-compliance with current regulations, and potential danger. The report classifies any issues found using standard codes (C1 for danger present, C2 for potentially dangerous, C3 for improvement recommended), and concludes with an overall “Satisfactory” or “Unsatisfactory” result.

An Unsatisfactory result doesn’t necessarily mean extensive work is needed — it simply means at least one C1 or C2 issue was found that needs addressing. We’ll explain exactly what’s flagged, give you a fixed price to fix it, and can usually re-test once the remedial work is done so you have a valid, compliant certificate.

EICR costs in the UK typically range from around £100 to £350 depending on the size of the property, with London and the South East generally running towards the higher end of that range. We’ll confirm your fixed price before booking, based on your property’s size and number of circuits.
